Conference Ah-has

Does anyone have any conference highlights they might be willing to share? I would love to hear what you heard that stood out to you!

  1. Conference was fantastic! :) I was able to get more answers on how to complete my goal (becoming as perfect as is humanely possible on this earth)! I think I'd like to share some of them! One of my questions was did Christ have choices to make? I've always wondered about that... how can a person be perfect if they have choices to make? Is it possible to make the correct choice ALL the time? The answer that I got was yes! They didn't really mention that particular topic in any of the talks, but I got my answer anyway! :) Here are some of the things that I learned on how to become better:

Don't become preoccupied with the unimportant things of this earth--focus on the eternal perspective! I think this will help a lot! Focusing on the overall perspective of this earth I believe would really help anyone to become better--if you are constantly thinking about God and the rewards when this life is over, I don't think you'd ever make a mistake! Perhaps that's what Christ did--He was always focused on His father and doing His will that it was impossible to do anything wrong! He had the Spirit with Him constantly!

Another thing I got out of it is that it takes practice. You can't just automatically become perfect! It's a lifelong pursuit! So when you mess up, just repent and keep trying! That's what the Atonement is there for! This life is just practice for the life to come! This is the time to develop, to practice! :)

Another things is to recognize beauty--to recognize the wonders and miracles of God! We talked about this!!! To contemplate beauty is to come closer to God! And the closer we are to God... the closer we are to being perfect!!

And the last and most important thing is to just keep on trying. It's impossible for us to become perfect in this life--just rely on Christ's love & doctrine. It's okay to mess up sometimes--we just need to have the right heart!

Those are my Ah-ha's from conference! I think I should share them on my blog--once K actually have a computer! Tablets are annoying to type on! They always auto-correct me--so sorry if some of the things I say don't make any sense! Sometime auto-correct wants me to just say something completely different from what I mean to say! ;)
